What's 3D Secure service
3D Secure is a free service that allows you to make secure online payments by entering a unique use code (one per purchase) sent by SMS to the cardholder's mobile phone. The networks that have joined this service are MasterCard / Maestro and Visa / Visa Electron.
Through this service, which can identify the online stores where the use of the credit card is made with more secure methods, it is possible to obtain protection and total security regarding the fraud and also guarantees of security in the use of the data of the real credit card in environments online.
How to join and use 3D Secure?
If you do not already have this service on your credit card, you can do so through your financial institution's Homebanking. You must associate a mobile number and activate the SMS Token credential. Then, just confirm the operation through a code that will receive via SMS.
Once you have linked the credit card to the number, your mobile phone is indispensable for making card payments over the Internet. In order to use the service, the card holder must indicate - on the purchase to be made in Internet secure sites (verified by VISA or MasterCard) - the elements of the credit card that are requested.
After this procedure, a numeric code is generated that is sent by SMS to the mobile phone associated with the 3D Secure service together with the transaction data (amount and merchant).
How do I sign up to MB WAY?
MB WAY is the first inter-bank solution that enables purchases and immediate transfers via smartphones and tablets. To become an MB WAY service user requires just two steps:
1st step – Select the “MB WAY” option on a MULTIBANCO ATM (that appears on the first screen), insert your mobile phone number and define the six digit MB WAY PIN number. This PIN number serves to confirm all transactions made on the MB WAY app. 2nd step – Download and activate the MB WAY app keying in your mobile number and the MB WAY PIN number defined during step 1.
The user then immediately receives an SMS with an activation code for inserting into the app with the service then fully ready for use. The MB WAY access and registration data for the user are always the respective mobile phone and MB WAY PIN numbers
